We keep this simple, because what we do is simple: this site exists to explain how we work and to hear from companies worth building. We collect as little as possible.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how this site is used — which pages people reach, how far they read, and which links they follow. It runs in a privacy-preserving mode by default: until you choose "Allow analytics cookies", no analytics cookies are set or read, no identifier is stored on your device, and your visits are not linked together across pages or sessions. In that state Google receives cookieless measurement signals without analytics cookies or device identifiers.

If you choose "Allow analytics cookies", Google Analytics may set first-party measurement cookies so that visits can be counted more accurately. We have disabled Google Signals and all advertising personalization: advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization are switched off and stay off, so there is no advertising cookie, no cross-site tracking, no audience building, and we never sell or share data for advertising. Analytics never runs on draft previews or the investor login page. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Privacy choices control in the footer of every page — withdrawing removes the analytics cookies and returns the site to cookieless measurement.

What analytics records

Which pages are viewed, which sections of a page are reached, which calls to action are clicked, how far articles are read, and which steps of a form are completed — identified by page name, section name, link name and article name only. We never record what you type into any form field, your name, email address, company, message text, or any link you submit; we never record credentials, health information, or any other sensitive personal information; and we never send the address of the site you arrived from to analytics.

Forms

If you use "Work With DeepStart" or "Submit a Company," we use the information you provide to evaluate and respond to your inquiry. We do not sell form submissions or use their contents for unrelated marketing, and form contents are not sent to analytics. Submissions are processed through Vercel, our website host, stored privately in Sanity, our content system, and delivered to us as an email notification through Resend. We may retain submissions for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention process. You may request access to or deletion of your submission at any time by contacting privacy@deepstartvc.com.

Cookies

We use one first-party cookie to remember your analytics choice. No analytics cookies are set unless you allow them; if you do, Google Analytics may set additional first-party measurement cookies. We do not use advertising cookies of any kind. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via Privacy choices in the footer, which removes the analytics cookies again.
