We keep this simple, because what we do is simple: this site exists to explain how we work and to hear from companies worth building. We collect as little as possible.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how this site is used — which pages people reach, how far they read, and which links they follow. Before you make a choice, and wheneverAnalytics cookies are off, it runs in a limited cookieless measurement state: no analytics cookies are set or read, no device identifier is stored, and your visits are not linked together across pages or sessions. In that state, limited cookieless measurement signals may still be sent to Google, without analytics cookies or device identifiers.

If you enable Analytics cookies and save your choices, Google Analytics may set its first-party measurement cookies so visits can be counted more accurately. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time with the Privacy choicescontrol in the footer of every page. Withdrawing removes those cookies and returns Google Analytics to cookieless measurement.

Google Analytics is not used for advertising. Google Signals is disabled, and advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain denied. The Advertising measurement choice described below is separate and does not affect Google Analytics. Analytics never runs on draft previews or the investor login page.

What analytics records

Which pages are viewed, which sections of a page are reached, which calls to action are clicked, how far articles are read, and which steps of a form are completed — identified by page name, section name, link name and article name only. We never record what you type into any form field, your name, email address, company, message text, or any link you submit; we never record credentials, health information, or any other sensitive personal information; and we never send the address of the site you arrived from to analytics.

Forms

If you use Work With DeepStart, Submit a Company, or the Health AI Launch inquiry form, we use the information you provide to evaluate and respond to your inquiry. We do not sell form submissions or use their contents for unrelated marketing. Form contents are not sent to analytics or advertising partners. Submissions are processed through Vercel, our website host, stored privately in Sanity, our content system, and delivered to us as an email notification through Resend. We may retain submissions for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention process. You may request access to or deletion of your submission at any time by contacting privacy@deepstartvc.com.

Advertising measurement

We advertise some services in ChatGPT. If you arrive from one of those ads, the link may include an OpenAI click reference. Only if you allow advertising measurement do we retain that reference in a first-party cookie for up to 30 days. If you then submit an inquiry through our Health AI Launch form, or through Work With DeepStart after entering from our Grow page or an eligible Growth campaign link, and that inquiry is associated with an OpenAI ad click reference, we tell OpenAI that an inquiry occurred. If there is no click reference, nothing is sent to OpenAI.

For an eligible inquiry associated with an OpenAI ad click reference, and only after you have explicitly allowed Advertising measurement, we may send OpenAI:

• the conversion event name;
• the event time;
• a random event identifier;
• the page URL without its query string;
• the OpenAI click reference.

We do not send:

• form responses;
• your name;
• your email address;
• your organization;
• message text;
• medical or health information;
• Google Analytics identifiers;
• UTM parameters;
• IP address or user-agent data supplied by DeepStart.

This is used for attribution, measurement and improvement of our ChatGPT advertising. OpenAI handles the information it receives under its own privacy policy.

We offer the Advertising measurement choice only to visitors who arrive with an OpenAI click reference. For everyone else it stays off and is not shown.

You can withdraw your choice at any time through Privacy choices. Withdrawing Advertising measurement stops future advertising-measurement events from this browser and removes the associated first-party measurement cookie. It does not recall or delete events that were transmitted before the choice was withdrawn.

Global Privacy Control

When your browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, we keep Advertising measurement off, do not retain the OpenAI click reference, and do not send OpenAI conversion events. The signal does not change your separate Analytics choice.

Cookies and storage

We use first-party cookies to remember your privacy choices. No analytics or advertising-measurement cookies are set unless you allow the corresponding purpose. You can change or withdraw either choice at any time via Privacy choices in the footer, which removes the corresponding cookies again.
